ORB is built with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. Your conversations, API keys, and settings stay on your device.
All data — including your API keys, conversation history, crew configurations, and preferences — is stored locally on your device. API keys are stored in Apple's Keychain, the most secure storage available on iOS and macOS.
ORB requires you to provide your own API keys for AI services such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or xAI. When you send a message, your conversation is sent directly from your device to the AI provider you selected. ORB does not proxy, intercept, or store these communications.
If you use ElevenLabs for premium voices, audio requests are sent directly to ElevenLabs from your device using your own API key.
Your relationship with these third-party providers is governed by their respective privacy policies. ORB has no access to your accounts with these services.
If you use ORB Base, all AI processing happens on your own local server. No data leaves your local network. ORB connects to ORB Base via your LAN or VPN — no cloud relay is involved.
Voice recognition is handled by Apple's Speech framework on your device. Audio is processed locally by default. ORB does not record, store, or transmit your voice data.
ORB does not include any analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking pixels. We do not collect usage data, crash reports, or device information. There is no telemetry of any kind.
ORB only makes network connections when you actively send a message to an AI provider, use ElevenLabs for voice synthesis, or connect to your ORB Base server. There are no background network requests, no phone-home behavior, and no data sent to Perceptual Art or any other party.
ORB is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
If we update this policy, we will post the revised version here with an updated date. Continued use of ORB after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
